We're the Stantons
We're Tammy and Kody, pictured here with Maverick and Montgomery. The Funny Farm is our working family farm in Chuckey, Tennessee.
Our life is rooted in faith, family, homeschooling, self-sufficiency, and a love for working animals. Opening the farm lets us share a little of that life with you.
Our story
A real farm, opened up for real connection
The Funny Farm started as the way we live: caring for animals, tending the land, raising our children, and learning something new every season. Somewhere along the way, we realized other families were hungry for the same kind of simple, hands-on experience.
Our mission is to give children and adults alike a taste of small-town farm life: the animals, the homesteading, the ranch work, and the joy of being outside together.
Some guests come to learn. Some come to make memories with their kids. Some just want to feed a goat, pet a pony, and breathe for a minute. However you arrive, there's a corner of the farm waiting for you.

Meet the animals
Goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, horses, ponies, and whatever babies the season brings.
Visitors can get close, ask questions, and see how working animals are cared for.

Learn by doing
Farm life is easier to understand when you can touch it, smell it, and help with it.
We love giving families a window into gardening, hay, pasture, chores, and the rhythm of the seasons.

Gather together
Birthday parties, field trips, photo sessions, pony rides, and blackberry picking.
The farm changes all year, which makes every slow afternoon by the barn feel a little different.
